Nothing Says Love Like Dinner

What we ate for Valentine’s Day dinner:

Homesick Texan’s Chiles en Nogada with local heritage pork from Bramble Hollow Farms and a delicious margarita that G. whipped up,

a whiskey honey peach pie with a rye crust made from Ginger Hillery’s amazing stone ground rye flour, honey from up the mountain in Floyd, and local peaches I froze last summer.

Couldn’t ask for a more delicious evening!

Wow! Those both sound incredible- the chile’s look great with the sauce. I’m going to have to check out the recipe because I bet it could be used on a lot of dishes.

The best pie I ever made was an old fashioned chocolate chip pecan pie, but it was topped with a bourbon whipped cream. It made my team win the Iron Chef date function I was at in college.
